This article shares the top 10 cyber-attacks in the United States in 2024. One that stuck out to me is the Change Healthcare Cyber-attack on United Health Group. The group Blackcat attacked the U.S health care industry, disrupting operations at hospitals and clinics throughout the U.S. This attack also canceled procedures, stopped payments and held prescriptions from being filled. This affected about a third of U.S residents. While working remote, making sure you have proper safety servers in place to avoid stolen information.

Ahold Delhaize Ransomware attack
This cyber-attack affected many grocery stores such as Food Lion, Giant, Stop n Shop. Ahold Delhaize had their data stolen during the attack, the group INC ransom managed to extract files from internal business systems connected to an earlier security breach. The attack disrupted payment systems, pharmacies, and online ordering nationwide. Inc Ransom also gained access of some employees and customers information. Although ransomware is hard to prevent but can help prevent by not clicking or opening unsure emails or links.

Lessons Learned
I learned that this is big and upcoming problem many companies are facing as it is happening more and more often. During this module, I learned how to use google news search engine which will be helpful for future classes.
