Annual Fundraisers

KASMA owns and operates The Onion Stand at the Kutztown Folk Festival and the Kutztown Fairgrounds. This fundraiser allows students to earn money for their individual student accounts that they can use to help pay for their high school musical trip. Student can begin earning money starting in 4th grade! This year the high school students in band and chorus will be traveling to Disney in Florida to perform and participate in music clinics. Thanks to our fundraising efforts, KASMA is able to put $225 toward the cost of the trip for each student!

Another event that KASMA runs is the Annual Pot Pie Dinner. This is a popular event in our community because it involves great food and entertainment. The music students throughout the district perform during the dinner. It is always well attended and supported.

KASMA hosts a Jazz festival in the spring for both middle and high school jazz bands. Schools throughout the county come to the Kutztown Area Middle School commons to participate. KASMA provides the concessions for this events and it is a profitable endeavour.

Another way that KASMA raises funds to support the district's music programs is by participating in the of running concession stand at the football games. KASMA in cooperation with the football booster, and cheer team booster donate food and drinks, and volunteer to work the stand during home football games. We are known around the area for our selection of homemade soups and other yummy crockpot meals and this venture is also very profitable for our organization.
