This opens a find file dialogue, looking for .KITE files on your local drive
Click to save your design as a KITE file.
By default the KaroroKITE will create a file name for you in this format:
240509_Karoro_Base.kite
The prefix is Year/Month/Day in YYMMDD format based on the day the file was opened in this session, the main name is taken from the NAME file under the SIZE tab and the .kite suffix is the KaroroKITE format.
This name can be over written in the Save dialogue
If you select this check box the current open Rhino file will be saved to the same location as the .KITE file, it will have the same name as you used for the KITE file except for having the .3DM suffix.
This is most useful after you have exported a design to Rhino - see below
Click here to export your 2D manufacture curves and 3D model to the current Rhino document.
NOTE: You will be prompted to check the SHOW 2D check box if you have not done so before pressing this button
NOTE: KaroroCAD will check for a valid export license before exporting, you will need to be online with an open internet connection for this process.
For final delivery to your partner factory you will need to export the 2D manufacture curves from Rhino to DXF (Drawing eXchange Format)
There are many options in Rhino for DXF file exports, from our experience these are the recommended for kite/wing production:
