The information presented below includes my dossier draft feedback and recommendations. The dossier draft feedback allowed me to refine my vision, message, and goals. Upon revising the sections needing attention, I could cohesively specify the relevance of my work in relation to my research focus. The information below is formatted to include the reviewer’s feedback, my reflection on each revision, and an image hyperlinked to the specified section.

Candidate Statements
Changes to candidate statements included revising goals, elaborating on focus areas, and expanding on knowledge and expertise. Information was added to describe and highlight how each section aligned, or pertained, to my area of research focus and career goals.
Goal(s) Feedback: Career goals are clear and appropriate. Minor revisions needed to update your current doctoral status.
Section Updates: This section was edited and revised to reflect how previous program coursework will impact future goals. Grammatical revisions were also made for clarity and concision.
Focus Area Feedback: Discuss how you will leverage scholarship, learning design, and service activities to support your focus area (motivational factors and teacher beliefs that affect educators from pursuing micro-credentials) specifically. See dossier requirements 1.2 Focus Area bulleted points.
Section Updates: Updates were added to clarify and elaborate how my former and current experiences have been instrumental in developing ways to explore how motivational factors and teacher beliefs affect educators from pursuing microcredentials. The statement also clarifies which focus area knowledge I have, which parts of knowledge I believe I have acquired, and how they align with my professional or career goals.
Knowledge & Expertise Feedback: You have identified expertise you might need outside your primary focus area. You should also explain how this expertise relates to and supports your primary focus area. Describe more to highlight your knowledge and expertise in relation to motivational factors and teacher beliefs that affect educators from pursuing micro-credentials.
Section Updates: Revisions were made to reflect and differentiate the primary focus area from areas outside my current expertise. This includes identifying the interrelationships between my current knowledge and expertise and how it relates to motivational factors that affect educators from pursuing microcredentials, research agendas, and career goals.
Additional Section Updates: Updates to digital badge collection and portfolio at the end of the section were included to remove expired certifications and reflect badges recently earned.
Scholarship
Scholarship
Changes to scholarship statements included connecting scholarly efforts to connect to the research and professional goals. This included adding a literature review, highlighting the approved and published journal article, and embedding a presentation that focused on research.
Introduction Feedback: Good job explaining how each artifact included supports the acquisition of a scholarly competency. You should also explain how your scholarly efforts connect to your research agenda (focus area) and, ultimately, your professional goal(s).
Section Updates: The introduction was updated to reflect how scholarship is intended to align with the research agenda and goals. Updates regarding the journal manuscript were included to reflect final publication information. Information regarding presentation proposal acceptance and final delivery were also updated.
Literature Reviews Feedback: Requirement partially met. The Literature Review offered is acceptable evidence but should include a topic on the cover page. A second literature review artifact must be added for the final submission.
Section Updates: A second literature review was added to explore embedded librarianship in online learning environments. An updated cover page was also included in the original literature review regarding microcredentialing in schools.
Research Paper Feedback: Great! For the final dossier submission, include an update on the publication status with supporting documentation. Be sure to also include journal documentation supporting the peer-review requirement.
Section Updates: The original manuscript added in the dossier draft was removed and replaced with a copy of the final journal article published in January 2023 in the British Journal of Educational Technology (BJET). I am incredibly proud and excited to include this, as it was a great learning experience.
Presentation Feedback: Congrats on your AECT acceptance! For the final dossier submission, include a copy of your presentation and/or conference program noting your presentation.
Section Updates: Updates for this portion of the dossier include the presentation slide deck for the accepted proposal and the conference program.

Learning Design
The introduction for the learning design section was revised to include how instructional or learning theories connect and support my beliefs.
Introduction Feedback: Be specific about how your evidence connects to your needed competencies in learning design. We suggest you choose some instructional design theories or learning theories here (just one is fine) to support your fundamental beliefs about designing for human learning.
Section Updates: After collecting feedback on this section, I tailored the introduction to specify the learning theory and approach used to create professional development sessions for my staff. I drew upon the principles of connectivism and andragogy, and elaborated on how it allowed me to develop microcredentialing courses to maintain staff engagement in the learning process in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic.
