My name is Karina, and I like problem solving and helping others. I enjoy camping and spending time in nature. I have three dogs who love to join me on hikes. Spending time with my friends and family is my favorite pastime. My love for mathematics began at a young age, so when I started college, I knew I wanted to pursue something in that field. My experiences as a nanny and youth leader have deepened my love for working with children. These roles have shown me the joy of nurturing young minds, and they have inspired me to combine my two passions, math and childcare. I am currently majoring in Mathematics Education. I'm excited to become a future educator and bring enthusiasm to a subject that often causes agony for some students. My goal is to help them connect math to real world problems and build confidence in their abilty to use the math tools learned in the classroom
