This was our 3rd design challenge, for my 422-education class. We designed our comic strip using Pixton. The goal of our comic strip was to addresses the problem: How might we reduce hunger among children in San Diego/Riverside County? In conjunction, we also read about the United Nations sustainable development goal number two.
This design challenge also used Pixton to make our comic strips. The comic we created had to present a solution to the following problem. How might we increase people’s awareness about ocean pollution in San Diego County? In preparing for this challenge, we learned about the SDG number fourteen.
Our next design challenge was made on Tinkercad. Our creation could either bring awareness or bring a solution to the following question. How might we save the animals in California facing extinction? I chose to bringing a solution to the California sea otters. My solution was a floating trash filter.
Using Tinkercad, we chose a disease of choice and research it to find a way to bring awareness prevention for the disease. This challenge aligns with SDG number three. The disease I chose to look into was diabetes. My prevention awareness solution was to help people sign up to get their blood work tested.
This week's challenge was just used to get some practice with coding on Scratch. Scratch is a coding website, to make stories, games or projects. We had freedom to be creative with this challenge.
The United Nations sustainable development goals, each have targets within the goal. For this challenge specifically we had the freedom to choose a specific target from the SDG number eleven. I chose to address target 9 and used scratch to present the information.
This was our final design challenge, and we used Soundtrap to record our podcast. The podcast topic was on SDG number four, which is equitable education.
This Challenge was to use adobe to make a poster that was all about us. This was our first challenge, and we used this as an opportunity for our class to get to know one another.
In this challenge was done in partners where we both showed each other our wallets and prototyped a new and improved wallet for each other.
