Shelia ran as fast as she could, scared for her life. She can hear the giggles of her two kids growing louder and louder from behind her. She felt something was climbing up her back but was too scared to look and just as she left the forest… CRACK! Her neck snapped and fell motionless and dead. It still remains a mystery for the cause of her death.
The Howard Twins were two adopted children, that went by the names Tom Howard and Gerald Howard. It has been confirmed that their adoptive mother Shelia found them on the side of the road, left to die in a cardboard box, they were only infants at the time. Eventually, she adopted them, and she had her own family. Eventually, as the twins grew older they both had polarizing personalities. Tom was more of a laid-back and chill kind of kid. While Gerald Howard was the more hard-working and intense person. However, despite their fights and opposite personalities. They get often got along very well.
Little did the neighborhood know that the twin’s lives would soon be cut short. WWII was just around the corner.
On a warm March 1942 somewhere in France, many people would stay home as the war was raging on. Only coming out every once in a while. However one day, the twins were just outside running across the deserted streets and were playing a simple game of tag. Then, it happened.
One boom roared throughout the town. The twins and the entire town grew silent. Then another boom roared even louder than before. Smoke began to overlook the town. A battle was starting. The alarms began to blare. The twins, who were only around 6 years old at the time. They were scared and didn’t know what to do. They saw one of the houses begin to abrupt in flames, so they ran and hid inside of a deserted truck.
One of the neighbors, Mr.Zuck saw the two kids and were yelling at them to go back home quickly. Other neighbors caught on but the kids were so scared that all they ended up doing was ducking under the windows to be left unseen. Giving each other a tight grip. Gunshots rang and explosions boomed. The local playground was engulfed in flames and smoke. One of the homes collapsed. Structures broke and the Howard Twins grew more and more scared. Meanwhile, Shelia, the adoptive mother of the twins was desperately trying to get them out but they had locked the doors and couldn’t hear her through the loud sounds of war.
Shelia ran back inside just to get a hatchet to break the door open and set them free but then she left only to be shown the car battery and the engine had combusted. Setting the oil tank on fire. Soon enough, the entire outer shell of the truck was on fire. People watched screaming, begging for help as some people tried throwing water buckets to put out the flames but all it did was make it grow stronger. The terrified crowd was then separated by another loud boom. This time the shockwave hit a telegram pole.
A moment of silence was given as the telephone pole broke and collapsed on the road. Taking the twins down with it. Thus, when the attack was over people swarmed over the burning truck.
It was too late. The Twins were already burning and were put out of their misery by the telephone pole. It is said that the pole struck Tom Howard square in the head and as for Gerald, he had his ribs crushed. Causing his lungs to collapse and kill him almost instantly. The fire then handled the rest by burning them to mere black and soot-covered skeletons.
The Twins died on March 27 that same year and were buried a month later due to issues with the war. The mother would then mysteriously die in the forest by an unknown force and was buried along with her adoptive children.
