I'm a graphic designer who loves to travel the world and experience different cultures. I believe that travel is one of the best ways to learn and grow as a designer, and I'm always looking for new ways to incorporate my experiences into my work.
I'm also passionate about giving back to my community, and for every project I take on, I donate my time or services to a non-profit organization.
If you're looking for a designer who is creative, experienced and passionate about making a difference, I'd love to chat with you. I'm always looking for new projects to work on, and I'm confident that I can create something that will meet your needs.
Giving Back: has always been a huge part of my life with my first overseas mission trip at age 15. Since then I knew I would always be helping others in some way. I graduated with a degree in design because I love art, but also wanted to help organizations that might not be able to afford design services and give them the chance to express who they are visually. I started volunteering at Hope for the Hopeless as their sponsorship coordinator and also helping them with graphics for print and redesign of their website. A few years ago I was asked to be on the board of a start up nonprofit company, House of Hope, a soup kitchen/food pantry for the area where I live. I was on the marketing team and created their brand identity. Now I serve on the board for House of Compassion and help with their social and marketing needs.
Background: After graduating college with a design degree, I got a job at a local print shop. I was immediately thrown into the deep end, learning how to use Adobe Creative Suite and all the ins and outs of prepress work. I got to experience all aspects of design, from creating logo marks to working on advertising campaigns. I saw the entire design process from start to finish, from brainstorming concepts to delivering the finished product.
Currently: I work for a specialty paper and business printing solutions company as their in-house graphic designer. This job allows me to use my creative skills to create graphic assets for inbound and outbound campaigns, new product launches, brand awareness and product samples. I create visuals for video, web, blogs, calls-to-actions, emails, landing pages, trade shows and all printed collateral.
This job also allows me to work directly with our clients and help them solve their design needs. Each client project is different and requires its own strategy to work as a piece of art. It gives me the opportunity to work on many different projects in which every design is unique and individual. This allows me to research and give each and every client a personal experience. I enjoy researching to find out what would best suit the needs and desires of each client and because of that, none of my projects are alike.
Job Skills: I have the ability to take art direction and constructive criticism. I am a self-motivated person, and I am able to work independently or as a great team player. I have excellent time management skills. I am honest, reliable and always try to exceed the expectations that I have set. I am proficient in: Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and many others.
