History of Bible Teaching in Kannapolis

As a result of a small group of visionary ministers, and the support of Kannapolis individuals and churches, Bible instruction debuted in Kannapolis City Schools in the fall of 1945. Today, the Kannapolis City School District, in cooperation with KBTA is pleased to employ two full-time Bible teachers, and offer elective courses in Bible at Kannapolis Middle School and A. L. Brown High School.

The KBTA is a tax exempt, not-for profit NC organization, (your contributions are tax deductible), supported by churches, businesses, the Cannon Foundation, community agencies and individuals. All funds raised go directly to KCS to pay the salaries and benefits of two full-time Bible teachers, who are licensed by the the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Thanks to the donations to KBTA from the people in the Kannapolis area, we celebrate 75 years of Bible teaching in Kannapolis City Schools in 2020!
