I received my BSc degree from Sun Yat-sen University. During my undergraduate studies, I spent two years in Prof. Ming-Liang Tong's lab exploring single-molecule magnets. Then, I moved to Canada to persue my Ph.D. studies under the supervision of the late Prof. Suning Wang at Queen's University. In 2018, I joined Prof. Michael Ingleson's group as a postdoctoral research associate, initially at the University of Manchester and later at the University of Edinburgh. After about four and a half truly enjoyable years in the UK (although sometimes I was confused by some "perculiar English words", e.g. aluminium/lorry/jumper etc.), I moved back to China to take an academic position. Currently, I'm working on boron based functional materials.
