The creation of logos, font styles as well as the use of spot colors were all interesting concepts I learned while navigating Illustrator. When I chose my 3 fonts It was for reasons somewhat personal to me and it was also based on whether they would be used in real life scenarios. When I am given the freedom to choose a font i always tend to pick something that looks as close to my handwriting as possible hence the three fonts chosen which were:
Brush Script Mt Italics
Kristen ITC
Eras Bold ITC
My logo project is something I actually want to bring to life which is why i allowed myself introduce the concept of it so I could improve the design and also discover ways to do that. I don't want to give too much away but it is infact a clothing brand specifically tailored to women. I had a different look for the logo design but it didn't turn too bad for my first time.
A tip while trying different shapes for the collar of the shirt I learned is how to bend your straight lines to make them curved using the smooth tool. You want to elect the anchor of the area of choice then click smooth it will show you how many percent you want the area to be smoothed to or you can choose the curve looking item next to the word smooth.
