I have worked a theatre job every summer of college.
My freshman year I work as a light board operator for "You're a good man Charlie Brown" at a community theatre where I'm from. I also worked as a stage hand for "Kinky Boots" and was the stage manager for "Picasso at Lapin Agile" both at a community theatre as well.

Sophomore year I worked as a Technical Director at Ensemble Stage in Banner Elk, NC. I was the TD for 4 shows there, "Mindgame", "Distant Music", "Robin Hood", and I built the set for "The Love List" the night before I left. I also painted the Distant Music Set. My junior year summer, I worked as a Stage Manager at Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, NC.

The Mindgame set was super cool because it had moving walls. The walls started all upright and at the end of the show, two of the walls had leaned back, one had leaned forward, jail bars came down over the mirror, the pictures in the frames had changed, and a brick wall replaced the window outside. This show also had moving scenery backstage that started as a hallway, the transformed to a bathroom, then a closet, and back to a hallway. We also had pictures that changed behind the other door.
