In my first year is college when I was still studying Creative Media, I made a horror podcast pilot. I won't show the final production as not everyone wants their voices out for the world to see, but here's the script and cover (all by me).
The cover was made in Adobe Illustrator, which I initially hated but it really grew on me over time. I love this cover, the colour palette is inspired by that of Alice Isn't Dead which I was listening to while working on this.
I didn't fully plan out the whole of the hypothetical podcast, but the idea is Jonah moves into an old house, and it's all falling apart but she has no other choice. She finds a note in every episode telling another story of similar themes of someone being followed or watched or predestined paths, and over time realises all of the stories are of residents who were residing in that house, there's something there with her... and that's about where I got. I didn't need to know for a pilot episode for a 3 week project. I drew inspiration from The Magnus Archives (2016 podcast) and Scratches (2006 videogame).
I've always loved writing scary stories and creepy settings, when I'm writing Ambivalent Divinity I'm always so excited to write it any time something eerie comes up.
I also made a header version of this that ended up unused.
I studied and learnt a lot about dialogue writing for this, and also struggled with keeping things as short as possible, cutting out anything mildly unnecessary. It still ended up pretty long but... In the end I had to just accept it. This went through 4 revisions.
It's no surprise that I played Charlotte in the final recording, because everyone else completely refused to.
