This is Hiai, my oldest character. I like them, but they look a little too much like me in a way that sometimes feels strange to draw. Our haircuts being the same was entirely unintentional, I cut my hair when I'd forgotten of their existence, so I came back to them after some years and only then realised the resemblance.
Due to this, the left drawing ended up feeling way more personal than I'd intended... The lyrics are from Puppy by Glass Beach. The composition is based on a picture of a lady with her dog. Hiai looks up to her the way someone would a god, but rather than golden halos and illumination, she brings only darkness.
Quiqui and Cici are from a 2 week website design project in my first college year, when I was still studying Creative Media. The drawing on the right is from that time, one of my first drawings of Cici, the shading is inspired by the style of Ao Fujimori, who makes cover art for my favourite band, Mili.
They've remained very dear to me all this time, so I drew them again recently, in the above illustration. They had a very limited pink and blue colour palette in the final website designs, so I wanted to stay true to it, though it made my work harder. I had to adjust all the values several times.
For a 2026 Global Game Jam, we made the game Aftershow. I was in charge of the story and 2D art, so I got to design these super fun characters. Moonface is marginally my favourite. I do wish we'd gotten to show more of the story.
My second drawing of Edith before she had a name or story, my friend had seen the first illustration and gone "you should give her a sword", so I did.
I really like the shading and details on this one, the hatching came out great.
My character Donte, they're based on my second favourite fictional character of all time, Don Quixote (from the 1605 novel Don Quixote) (in first place is N from Pokemon Black and White) the art on the far left is all the way from 2024, but a lot of my friends still really like it so I still use it. The other one is a more recent armour study.
My friend Spiderlily's OC, from a recent Ides of March art trade we hosted in my personal discord server.
My friend Kahnazaa's OC from Artfight 2025, I was experimenting with brushes.
Also from Art Fight 2025, for Keewee
On the left is fanart of Angel Devil from Chainsaw Man, I just made it to practice rendering in Krita but it came out pretty good! One of my latest pieces.
Azriel is the main character from my book series I've been writing for about 3 years, I don't draw him often nowadays but I've still been consistently working on their story since it started. To put it simply, it's about death and connections.
And some of my favourite Shadow Milk Cookie art, because it's impossible for me not to show it. A lot of these are actually inspired by Twin Peaks 1990 (the piece on the left, above, and underneath). My favourite piece I've ever made is the big one at the start, it was originally based on Twin Peaks quote "the angels will return" but ended up more about Everybody's Worried About Owen's song, How Do You Talk to a Star - particularly the lyric "under the floodlights you look more like god to me" which it's named after. Lyrics from that are also written on Pure Vanilla Cookie's ? whatever that thing is. They are intentionally hard to read.
