5m Cubed House

"Designing 5x5x5m cube space" was first subject for me at school.

Any sites are not expected in that subject, we could choice everywhere and I decided not to choice any sites and started to design a origin of house that can fit everywhere and that can be one room of townhouse or apartment building by minor changes like position of some window. These concepts result to entrance at north and main window at south. It means that this house can be arrayed and extended to the east and west.

Stairs the most distinctive part of this plan is carefully designed to make full use of minimum space by incorporate shoebox, hand wash basin and storage. Steps of stairs are extended higher above second floor level, these steps provide opportunity to person to sit it, display some stuff like books and clean up skylight that makes the impressive play of light.

About the other interior, some elements have characteristic shape which affected by polygonal staircase. Green colored wall at hall is curved like leading person who visit here to inside of building. Desk and built in shelves at second floor are also curved, because of this curve the desk has enough width and also comfortable environment like wrapped around person who sit.

0.5m square prism of space which placed at sothwest edge of the plan is the most important next to spiral staircase. The prism works as an ventilation tower opening its revolving window. Long sofa at second floor and closets at bedroom were arrayed at side of this prism fitting right its depth.

This architecture is minimal house for 1 or 2 person, but also it is expected to live with 2 children. Both of the master bedroom and work room aren't designed for specific use, it was for flexible use as children's room or second bed room. Children's rooms can be configured by installing interior elements such as high book shelves and bunk beds that contain hunger storage. The terrace can also be converted into a storage area or small workroom.
