Kaedenoki Architecture Studio / Oki Fujiwara

Born in Okayama Prefecture. Graduated from Okayama University, Art and Crafts course, and Okayama University of Science, evening architecture course. Through experiences at several design offices, he opened Kaedenoki Architectural Studio, and is based mainly in Okayama Prefecture. Since his school days, he has been designing and producing furniture, which is characterized by a sense of lightness by combining pieces of thin and delicate wood.

He considers architecture to be a grouping of various elements, including not only furniture such as chairs and desks, but also the surrounding environment, and he aims to create architecture through both design and production, starting with small pieces and gradually expanding from furniture to buildings. In recent years, he has gradually expanded the field and scale of his work by conceiving housing design plans and house renovation plans, as well as producing video works.
