My research investigates the organizational foundations of democratic governance. My recent projects examine how public organizations augment capabilities through contractual relationships and and the consequences for governance capacity and democratic accountability. 

My work has been supported by ARRC convenved by the Volcker Alliance and the APPAM Entrepreneruship Policy Fellowship. I am the recipient of the 2026 Morris W.H. Collins Award from the Southeastern Conference on Public Administration (SECoPA).
