Video Recording

The app allows you to record videos using:

• The device camera.
• GoPro HERO connected by wifi.

The app uses the device camera to record videos during the session. The video includes overlays with data provided by GPS, OBD or sensors. Overlays are included during recording, no further processing is required. Videos are stored in the JVchrono/Video folder.

To get more amazing videos, the app allows to record with the camera of another device connected by bluetooth (Remote mode). In the "session modes" page you can get more information.

The settings menu allows you to enable de camera and select the control mode:

• Manual control: with a button on the screen or a bluetooth audio command (car radio, steering wheel buttons or headset)
• GPS control: Video marks can be defined in the track to control de camera by GPS position. In the "create track" page you can get more information.
• Video per session: Automatically records video during the session.
• Video per lap: Automatically records one video per lap. Due to end/start recording when crossing the finish line, the first few seconds of each lap will not be recorded.

The camera can be operated in two different modes. The mode could be selected with a button on the screen.

• Foreground recording: camera preview can be displayed on the screen. Recording stops if the screen is turned off.
• Background recording: camera preview can not be displayed on the screen. The recording works with the screen on or off. This mode is not compatible with all devices.

The app commands a GoPro HERO camera connected by wifi. To handle the GoPro, it must be connected by wifi before starting the app.

The control modes are the same as in the device camera:

• Manual control: GoPro can be controlled by screen buttons or bluetooth audio commands. To access the GoPro controls you have to press the menu button twice (three dots). It allows to reconnect the GoPro, change mode, check battery level...
