DATA EXCHANGED

JVChrono laptimer doesn’t exchange data outside the device. Session data, tracks and video recorded will be stored in the device and will not be sent to any server.

The app only communicates with Google servers to check the license, download the maps from Google Maps and send crash logs reports to allow the developer to fix them.

The app allows you to exchange tracks and sessions with other devices. Bluetooth and Wifi connection can be used. This exchange is always done to nearby devices, never through internet, and under the user request, both the receiver and the sender.

SENSORS

The app requires the information from different sensors, internal to the device and external. Internal sensors include GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, video and audio. External sensors include GPS, OBD or other device running JVChrono in Remote mode. Some of these sensors require accepting the corresponding permission. Depending on the android version, these permissions will be required when installing the app or when they are used for the first time.

ANDROID PERMISSIONS

For Android version prior to 6.0, you need to grant permissions during the install process. For version 6.0 or later, the app will prompt the user to grant some of them after installation. The following permissions are required to get all the functionality of the app.

  • Record video and audio: required to record video using the internal cam.
