How Do Amazon Associates Affiliates Make Money?

In this article, I’m going to share with you some of the ways in which Amazon affiliates make money!

Without further ado, let me explain each of these methods in great detail.

1. Blogging Method

This is the most common method used by most Amazon affiliates to make money.

This is whereby you create a blog/website based around a certain niche, then you start publishing content based around that niche.

This gives you the opportunity to link various Amazon products inside your articles – thus, allowing you to make commissions if your readers clicks on those links & buys the products.

For example, let’s say that you create a blog based around landscaping, you can recommend various landscaping tools & machines inside your blog articles – so that people can check them out if they’re interested in using them.

And because you’ll be providing value to those audience, they’ll be interested in trying your recommendations i.e. due to the power of reciprocity.

Alternatively, you can write about product reviews & comparisons, so as to help people in making the right purchasing decisions.    

The truth is, most customers are always confused when it comes to deciding which products/services to buy, since they’re constantly bombarded with a lot of choices.

But if you do a good job of reviewing/comparing the products for them, you’ll save them from a lot of stress ..... and you’ll be rewarded for that.

2. YouTube Method

You can also go the YouTube route if you like filming videos.

This is whereby you’ll be uploading videos based on a particular topic, then you link relevant Amazon products inside your video descriptions. 

Take the Unboxing Therapy channel as an example.

That dude uploads videos based around smartphones & laptops, then he links the products inside his video descriptions.

And if you click those links, you’ll realise that, they’ll take you to Amazon marketplace, since that guy is affiliated to Amazon (and other similar affiliate programs).

And he has amassed millions of subscribers with his method, and he has made millions of dollars over the years as well.

But that’s just one example!

There’s so many YouTubers who makes money with Amazon Associates, since they link various Amazon products inside their video descriptions e.g. gear, camera equipment, or any product which they use.

3. Instagram Method

You can also go the Insta way.

It’s whereby you create an Instagram page based around a certain niche, then you start uploading helpful content based around that niche.

For example, let’s say that you love puppies, you can start a page based around puppies, then you start uploading some cool pics of puppies.

Over time, you’ll be able to attract followers who’re also interested in puppies ..... and as we all know, eyebrows equals currency.

Meaning, you’ll be able to monetize that audience through recommending various dog foods, dog shampoos, belts, cages, or anything that’s needed to raise a puppy.

And most of these products are already available on Amazon, which makes it easy for you to refer them to your audience.

4. TikTok Method

Most people thinks that TikTok is just a dancing platform for teenagers.

But actually, you can use it to promote your Amazon affiliate links and make money in the process.

You just gotta choose a niche that you wanna specialise in, then you start uploading some short videos based around that niche.

Then you’ll need to direct people to your bio link, which will contain some various Amazon links of products that you’d like people to checkout. 

The key is to utilise the story-hook-offer technique, so that you can get the best conversions for your content.  

5. Facebook Method 

Over the years, Facebook has been used to promote affiliate offers – and it has proven to work very well.

In order to get started, you need to create a Facebook Group or Page based around a certain topic, then you start publishing helpful content on a frequent basis. (preferably daily)

This allows you to build a tribe of people who’re interested in that niche – thus, making it easy to recommend various Amazon offers to those people.

But please note that Facebook hates affiliate links (for some reasons) i.e. if you include them in most of your posts.

For this reason, it might be a good idea to build a landing page, instead of linking people directly to your Amazon offers. 

6. Paid Ads Methods 

Last but not least, you can tap into paid ads if the funds permit.

This is whereby you run ads on platforms like Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

The beauty of running paid ads is that, you’ll be able to reach more people in a short space of time, since you’ll be paying for those eyebrows.

Thus, it’s a faster way to gain traction – compared to organic methods of getting traffic.

However, I do recommend that, you should first learn about the fundamentals of running paid ads before getting started – otherwise, you might lose all your money down the drain if you just go in blind.
