Extracurricular Activities

The extracurricular activities that I participate in that demonstrate commitment to community service include being a Student Transition And Resource Team (START) and First Year Experience (FYE) leader as well as the mascot SWOOP Performer/Handler at the University of Guelph-Humber. I have also participated in the North Recreational Unified Basketball Partnership at Humber College.

Being a START and FYE leader and a SWOOP mascot at the University of Guelph-Humber is a great extra-curricular activity. This is because it involves leadership development, engagement with the community, opportunities for networking and mentorship, and personal and professional development. 

Being a participant of the North Recreational Unified Basketball Partnership, I was able to travel to schools and facilities in the province to participate in tournaments to showcase my skills in the sport of basketball.
