Fun with 2-D Shapes

In Junior Infants we have been learning all about 2-D shapes. We learned about squares, rectangles, triangles and circles. We thought about straight lines and curved lines and we counted sides and corners. We used our 'Maths Eyes' to find 2-D shapes in our classroom and the world around us. 

We experimented with making 2-D shapes with lollipop sticks and playdough. 

We played shape bingo. 

We also created super shape pictures in art, using 2-D shapes to create giraffes, butterflies, houses, robots, people and more!
