Juliette Dalicano
Los Angeles, 2005
Born and raised in Los Angeles, 20-year-old Juliette Dalicano is a photographer and conservationist whose creative work is deeply informed by her scientific interests. She was an Unshuttered Photography Intern at the J. Paul Getty Museum and her image from The Matriarch: Inspired by Manuel Álvarez Bravo was exhibited at Band of Vices Art Gallery in LA. Her work has also been featured on the Getty Museum’s website and social media platforms.
Currently studying Wildlife, Fish, and Conservation Biology with a minor in Global Disease Biology at UC Davis, Juliette initially discovered photography as a way to raise awareness for wildlife and endangered species. She is also inspired by the power of imagery to spark connection and advocate for social justice. She is passionate about using media to foster empathy, accurate representation, and environmental responsibility, especially for communities historically excluded from these conversations.
Her broader conservation mission including research in genetics, field ecology, and environmental education—can be found on her 🧬 Conservation page.
