not-books

That is not a misspelling of "notebooks;" it's an intentional spelling. Early in my poetry game, when I was broke and thought I was clever, I created a series of tri-fold brochures instead of bothering with (a) chapbook(s). This way, they'd fit in standard envelopes, be easier to mail, and maybe be more interesting than, say, the average annual Holiday letter sent to friends and family. Maybe?!

Which friend took this pic? I forget—sorry; it was so long ago! At J's Lounge.

You may see that a smattering of some of the above pieces achieve second life in other publications (some of which are featured on other pages of this portfolio). Send requests for higher-res/printable versions of the brochures to juliebrin at gmail dot com (or I might just post them soon anyway; I guess I should give each panel its own image to show up better on cell phones, too ... sheesh, website building is a high-maintenance activity!).
