Greetings, earthling (or otherwise). Thanks for visiting my portfolio site, of poetry-like-substances and imperfect rhyme ... both of which I considered as domain names but, hey, what's in a name? Maybe something that's easy to remember? Like mine?! (Um, because juliebrin.org and .com are supposed to point to this portfolio URL, but sometimes the domain server is a dummy ... okay, it's me; I'm the dummy). Grab your favorite beverage and make yourself comfy. And please stop by every blue moon for updated content ... that is, as long as I don't get too many rejection letters from journal submissions! This has all been published in some form, or won or placed in a contest. (So someone likes it, besides my family members, who are required to. I won't scare you with the other, unpublished stuff ... yet.)

If you’re even remotely thinking about writing in the future, I highly recommend joining KAC—it’s worth its weight in rare meteorites. Not to mention purchasing members’ books via indie bookstores and independent publishers—that’ll take care of your reading list for the rest of your life. I'm serious, people; start here and enjoy going down the rabbit hole:

Anti-antisocial: You can find/follow/friend me generally by searching for my full name (Julie Ann Baker Brin for those sleeping at the back of the classroom). Currently I'm on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, GoodReads, & Twitter/X (yeah, I know I'm supposed to jump off some of those, but why should I change because of one stupid person?) and recently joined BlueSky and Substack (but have no clue what to do there). Feel free to recommend where Real Authors should be. I technically have some other accounts somewhere but don't really use them. Yet. And I forgot my MySpace login eons ago. Sometimes it's all just too much for my poor little poetic nerves.
