What to Expect in
an Ortho-Bionomy® Session

During your Ortho-Bionomy® session in Central Otago or Central Lakes, you will remain comfortably clothed, either lying down on a massage table or sitting in a supportive chair. Each session takes place in a warm, welcoming environment designed to help you feel safe and relaxed. As a trauma-informed Ortho-Bionomy practitioner, I focus on open communication and continuous feedback, ensuring that your preferences and comfort are always respected.

Treatment may include gentle touch, slight movements, and light pressure on reflex points to locate and address tension and pain. By consciously creating a comfortable, prolonged, and non-painful body position, we invite your body to release stress and realign naturally. These subtle changes can affect the muscular structure, nervous system, blood and lymphatic fluids, and fascia, leading to realignment and improved balance. Repetition of these gentle experiences helps your body and nervous system recognise and remember new, healthier patterns for the future.

Throughout your session, I will guide you to notice and track sensations in your body, supporting your ability to observe any changes, no matter how subtle. This process often leads to the release of both muscular and emotional tension, promoting deep relaxation and a renewed sense of wellbeing. Many clients in Alexandra, Wanaka, Ettrick, and beyond comment on how the safety and security of Ortho-Bionomy® sessions help them reconnect with a sense of relaxation and ease.
