The workshop uses Make it Stick: The Science of Successful Learning (2014) by Peter C. Brown, Henry L. Roediger & Mark A. McDaniel.

Hello! I am Judy, your online workshop instructor. For the past nine years, I have been working in the workforce development field. I work with job seekers and employers to design training plans to meet the needs of the local workforce. I have a degree in Economics from Wright State University and working towards a graduate certificate in Instructional Design for Digital Learning 1. I hope you enjoy the workshop.

There are six weeks of coursework and a summative assessment in this workshop. The first four weeks have learning objectives, summaries of two chapters, YouTube video summaries, and article(s), a connection to the workforce, and suggestions for implementation. At the end of each workshop, a formative assessment is available that tests your retrieval of the new knowledge.
In the fifth week, a PowerPoint presentation reviews strategies learned in the previous weeks to help you learn better and remember longer and offer suggestions on how to implement them in the workforce. In the sixth week, a YouTube video records the PowerPoint presentation seen in Week 5. During the final session, the summative assessment is available to test what you have learned in the workshop.
