 Volunteer and Community Service Experience

Description: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Supported fundraising by handwriting notes to donors to encourage them to keep contributing and help find permanent homes for children in foster care.

Description: St. Brigid of Kildare Church Sandwich Saturday Ministry. Enjoined family in buying ingredients for bologna sandwiches, and then preparing and delivering them to help feed the homeless in downtown Columbus.

Leadership Experience

Description: I founded Cadence Collective, a community-driven initiative that gathers musicians to perform in underprivileged spaces, such as nursing homes and free clothing shops. What started as a simple idea grew into a dedicated group of performers committed to using music to uplift those facing hardship. Through live performances, we bring joy, comfort, and connection, making everyday life a little brighter.

Description: As the lead organizer of the Asian Youth Union, I was in charge of the planning of Diwali and Lunar New Year celebrations, coordinating contributions and participation from members to raise cultural awareness in the community. These events aimed to celebrate and share Asian traditions while fostering inclusivity and understanding among diverse groups. Through this leadership role, I developed organizational skills and deepened my commitment to promoting cultural appreciation and unity.

Extracurricular Description 1:

Being a second violinist in the Dublin Jerome Chamber Orchestra, I have been consistently admitted to our Class A state-winning ensemble through auditions. Performing in an advanced, competitive setting, I have contributed to our orchestra’s success in earning the highest rating of I in all pieces played during competitions. Through dedicated ensemble work and instrumental mastery, I help bring complex musical pieces to life while fostering collaboration within a high-level performance group.

Extracurricular Description 2:

I was a competitor in the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) competitions. I have performed annually at the state level, showcasing my skills as both a solo violinist and a chamber musician. In 2023, I earned the highest rating of I for my solo violin performance, and in 2024, I achieved the same distinction in a violin-cello duet. Through these experiences, I have refined my technical proficiency, musical expression, and ability to perform under pressure.

Extracurricular Description 3:

As a first violinist with Chamber Music Connection, I have performed at the highest level in both private performances and competitions. This opportunity has allowed me to collaborate with other talented musicians, honing my skills in chamber music while refining my ability to perform complex works with precision and emotional expression. Through these experiences, I have grown as a musician and developed a deeper understanding of ensemble dynamics and musical interpretation.

Extracurricular Description 4:

As both a first violist and second violinist, I led the formation of a string quartet that competed in the 2023 Chicago National Chamber Music Competition. This experience allowed me to refine my leadership skills while collaborating with other skilled musicians. Through dedicated rehearsals and performances, I helped my quartet bring together complex string arrangements, further developing both my instrumental abilities and my understanding of chamber music dynamics.

Extracurricular Description 5: 

As a member of the Dublin Jerome Men’s Golf Team, I have competed at both the JV and Varsity levels, contributing to our team's success through consistent performance. In 2022, I earned 1st place at the St. Charles Invitational with a score of 1 under par, placed 4th at the Celtic Invitational, and shot my lowest score of 71 at the Ohio Junior Championship. 

Extracurricular Description 6:

I formerly competed in the Southern Ohio Junior PGA and Golfweek Junior Tours from 2021 through 2024. I participated in 18 competitive tournaments, maintaining a tournament scoring average of 77.08. My best finish came at the Golfweek Junior Tour Elite Event in 2023, where I completed two rounds in the mid-70s.
