spin waves

Spin wave based computational devices have been proposed as an alternative to CMOS based logic. In this DARPA project at UCLA, we successfully demonstrated the generation and detection of spin waves using magneto-electric mechanisms. This would enable multi-fold energy savings compared to traditional loop antenna based techniques.
