The 12 and under league is for the most experienced players. Girls pitch in this league. In the spring this league consists of one or two practices and two games per week in a local travel league. Our home field is Lincoln Park near the Argenziano school.
10/12U travel players are required to have their own infield face mask, softball glove, cleats, black baseball pants, and helmet. We do have a few extras so reach out if you need a loaner/donation. Jersey's are also required. You may wear yours from a prior season or order new.
8U/intro to softball players need their own glove, infield face mask, and cleats(recommended), sneakers also ok. Pants and helmets are optional. We have some items to donate/loan. A free T-shirt is included with registration!
Suggested links to equipment (but it's also worth stopping by Play it Again Sports or looking on buy/sell/free facebook groups):
Face Mask - Size Girls Youth or Size Girls Small
Softball Glove - We do not recommend the synthetic tee ball gloves, they are too small and difficult to use
Black Softball Pants - Size Girls Youth or Size Girls Small
Jr. Highlanders was awarded a grant from Pitch in For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) in the fall of 2025. The grant was specifically to provide our organization with equipment to help our league grow and subsidize the equipment needs of our players. Please let us know if you need equipment!
