OUR MISSION

Our mission is to encourage youth to participate in the sport of softball and to create an organization comprising players, parents, volunteers and corporate sponsors. Jr. Highlanders is devoted to providing training in the rules and regulations of the sport, encouraging the development of individual skills, promoting physical fitness, and fostering teamwork and fair play. Winning is fun and exciting but -- most importantly -- we want to teach our children that striving to do their personal best is what really matters most. In this spirit, all member teams, coaches, managers, parents, and players shall conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.

HISTORY

Jr. Highlanders is a volunteer organization founded in the Summer of 2023 by a small group of parents committed to fostering a passion for softball in the next generation of Somerville youth.
