This charcoal piece showcases my brother frozen in time.
The purpose of this artwork was to encourage humans to cherish every moment and live it completely, hence the black/white hue.
A Moment in Time was awarded the Silver Key for the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
For this artwork, I used only a white colored pencil; the background is a black mat board.
This piece is of my mom on the occasion of Diwali; Diwali is the festival of lights and where light beats darkness.
My mom is the central piece of this work; she is holding a plate of divas (lights).
The purpose of this artwork was to bring attention to the parents that make our lives possible. In my family, my mom brings light into the house with her joy.
This work was awarded with the Honorable Mention distinction by Representative Van Taylor in the Congressional Art Challenge.
In addition, My Mom- The Light of The House advanced to the state level of the VASE competition and received exemplary distinction.

The Doodle 4 Google competition has always promoted my creativity in showing what I love.
For the 2020 year's theme, I depicted myself learning from teachers and then teaching other students who teach others: the recurring cycle of learning and teaching.
This artwork was completed in Prismacolor colored pencils.
This was my first submission to the Doodle 4 Google competition.
This piece was the inspiration for me to enter into engineering/robotics field and soon discover computer science as my passion.
I am inspired by all these great people and soon hope to be like them one day!

The Blue Morpho Butterfly is a mesmerizing and beautiful insect.
After submitting this butterfly to a local butterfly art competition, I won 3rd place.
This award kickstarted my aim to make my art public, while having a strong message.
This butterfly is done from only Prismacolor colored pencils.
In the 8th grade, I took a selfie of myself and sketched it on a paper.
With this drawing, I entered into the world of portraiture.
I used only a writing pencil so contrast and other artist elements are not present.
