Meet Joy

Joy Madden is the heart behind Joyous Gatherings, LLC, bringing over a decade of hands-on event coordination experience to every gathering she touches. Born and raised in Ohio, Joy moved to Florida in 1996, where she spent more than 10 years serving couples as a wedding coordinator and ordained minister—offering everything from day-of coordination to full-service planning and vendor matchmaking. In 2006, she stepped away from the business to begin her career in education, but she never stopped missing the magic of events: the love, camaraderie, and joy of seeing a vision come to life. After later moving to and falling in love with Alaska, Ohio ultimately called her home, and in June of 2024 she returned to what she proudly calls the greatest state of all. While Joy continues to teach, her passion for celebrations keeps pulling her back into the industry, and she’s excited to see what this next chapter holds.
