Coach Joyce's Pickleball Journey

When COVID disrupted my coaching and playing volleyball in 2020, I found myself picking up a pickleball paddle—and it changed everything. The pickleball court became my ultimate social and learning playground where I quickly became a dedicated student of the game going to clinics, learning from pros, listening to pickleball podcasts, reading every pickleball book I could obtain and watching instructional videos as a daily practice.   I went from a curious beginner to a deeply dedicated student of the game, breaking down its unique mechanics and strategy.  This sport gave me a beautiful path to unlock my inner competitor again, while grounding me in a loving community of fun friends.  My hope is to serve as a welcoming leader, an encouraging coach, and a supportive friend to everyone stepping onto the court.
