Joyce Yoo Babbitt loves spending time with her family, listening to music, reading, swimming and playing pickleball. She also enjoys sharing stories, finding digital resources and supporting students in their research.  

     Babbitt has over 30 years of experience as a Library Media Specialist in Vermont, California, and Maine. She is an elementary school library media specialist, technology teacher, and swim instructor.  Babbitt is passionate about helping people creatively use technology tools and has an Educational Technology Specialist license.  She served on the Vermont Red Clover Book Award committee, Vermont Humanities Council committee and as an online graduate instructor for the University of Maine.

Babbitt is a lifelong learner who has focused over the years on coaching, children's literature, child development, and fostering creativity through the arts. After receiving her BA in History, MA in Education, and CAS in Library Media Services at California State University of Long Beach, she has furthered her education at various universities to deepen her knowledge and skills. Babbitt currently works at Dothan Brook School in Vermont.
