Joyce Yoo Babbitt enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, reading, swimming, and playing pickleball. She also values sharing stories, discovering digital resources, and supporting students in their research.

Babbitt brings more than 30 years of experience as a Library Media Specialist in Vermont, California, and Maine. Her professional roles include elementary school library media specialist, technology teacher, and swim instructor. She is passionate about helping people creatively and effectively use technology tools and holds an Educational Technology Specialist license. Her professional service includes participation on the Vermont Red Clover Book Award Committee and the Vermont Humanities Council Committee, as well as serving as an online graduate instructor for the University of Maine.

A lifelong learner, Babbitt has focused her career on coaching, children’s literature, child development, and fostering creativity through the arts. She earned a BA in History, an MA in Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Library Media Services from California State University, Long Beach, and has continued her professional development through additional coursework at various universities. She currently works at Dothan Brook School in Vermont and River Valley Club in New Hampshire.
