☀️Joyce Yoo Babbitt is an uplifting friend, educator, librarian, coach, and personal trainer. She is skilled in adapting teaching methods to various learning styles and utilizing educational tools.
She loves spending time with her family, reading books, and playing pickleball. She also enjoys sharing good stories, finding great digital resources and assisting people with technology tools and providing guidance in their research.
Joyce has over 30 years of experience as a library media specialist in Vermont, California, and Maine. She is currently focused on student engagement and creating a supportive academic community at Dothan Brook School. Joyce seeks to help people find books and online resources as well as support them in their inquiry project learning process. She is passionate about helping people become lifelong learners!
Joyce is a lifelong learner who has focused over the years on deepening her knowledge in the areas of children's literature, child development, and fostering creativity through the arts. After receiving her BA in History, MA in Education, and CAS in Library Media Services at California State University of Long Beach, she furthered her education at various colleges and universities to deepen her knowledge and skills. Joyce completed her CAS in Instructional Technology at the University of Maine.
Experienced in coaching volleyball, swimming, running, pickleball and functional everyday movement. Joyce is certified as a PPR Pickleball Coach, AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional, and NCSF Personal Trainer.
