Please make every effort to submit your work on time. The deadlines for each assignment have been designed with work load in mind to allow you ample time to complete them. That being said, everyone is juggling a slew of responsibilities: school, work, family, and other commitments. It is possible that something could slip through the cracks. If you recognize a due date might be a problem, advocate for your success by following these steps:

Exams: There will be four exams during the semester based on assigned textbook readings as noted in the "Course Calendar" page.
When I calculate your final grade, the lowest score from Exams 1-3 will be dropped. If you miss an exam, that will count as the score that is dropped. If you have completed Exams 1-3 with an average of 90% or higher, Exam #4 is optional.
Quizzes: There will also be short quizzes at the end of each learning module covering the material from specific chapters in the textbook.
Quiz deadlines are listed in the "Course Calendar" section of the syllabus. Quizzes may be submitted up to one day (24 hours) after the deadline without penalty. Students may submit a quiz up to two days (48 hours) after the deadline with a 10% penalty.
Homework: There will be two substantial, in-depth homework assignments during the semester. There will also be shorter written assignments, such as discussion forum posts.
All assignment requirements will be presented at the appropriate time during the semester. Homework is due by the date indicated on the "Course Calendar" section of the syllabus and should be submitted in the proper format via Canvas.
