I served on the organizing committee of the 29th Mid-Continental Phonetics and Phonology Conference.
I coordinated with the University of Chicago's Morph-Syn organizer, Kutay Serova, to implement a research exchange between graduate students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and those at the University of Chicago (UChicago). Students from UIUC are invited to present their work at Morph-Syn, and UChicago students are invited to present their work at claSSi. This group is now referred to as the MidWest Syntax Exchange, and now includes the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, Indiana University, and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
I served on the planning committee for the 16th Annual Meeting of the Illinois Language and Linguistics Society. I also served as an abstract reviewer and plenary chair (Dr. Ruth Kramer).
I served as the Co-chair for the planning committee of the 14th Annual Meeting of the Illinois Language and Linguistics Society.
I served as the assistant to the organizer of the 16th Annual Meeting of the SLS (to Dr. Aida Talić) hosted at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
I served on the planning committee for the 13th Annual Meeting of the Illinois Language and Linguistics Society as well as the 3rd Annual Sociolinguistics Symposium. I also served as an abstract reviewer and plenary chair (Dr. Jorge Emilio Rosés Labrada).
From Fall 2020 - Spring 2021, I am serving as the the President of the University of Illinois' Linguistics Student Organization. I am the student - faculty liaison and in charge of specific programming/events for the department.
This summer, I served as the LSA lead intern. A lot of the work I did was centered on public policy and resources for student members. Linked below are some of my projects/contributions.

From Fall 2015-Spring 2021, I served as the President of Southern Illinois University's Linguistics Student Association. I acted as the student - faculty liaison and planned events centered on social activities, professional development, and academic lectures/talks.
I volunteered as a one-on-one tutor for a basic literacy student at the Boston affiliate of Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts.
I served as an AmeriCorps VISTA member from November 2016 - November 2017. The goal of AmeriCorps VISTA is to fight against poverty by helping local organizations expand their capacity to make change. I served at the Hernández (bilingual) After School Program (HASP) in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
