This project was undertaken by a group of 24 students from Industrial Design and Fine arts majors. The project started with everyone designing their own lamp concepts, before whittling the ideas down to 5 that were developed to a functional level. The final chosen lamp went into a small batch production to create 28 identical "Tei" lamps.
This project was a 2024 Best Awards finalist. Best Awards
I was a part of the group that first worked to bring Tei to a working state. Throughout that process I worked primarily on the main arm of the lamp using modeling software and CNC milling to develop the lighting element and connection points for other components.
I also designed several cable routing clips that are seen on the underside of the main arm, the main upright and the back of the base.
