Beginning Band

Band I

Beginning Band students will learn to play a band instrument.  This course is for students with no prior experience on a Band instrument.  Students begin on Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone or Orchestra Bells. Students may switch to other band instruments later in the school year with teacher permission.  Students learn musical concepts necessary to graduate to Band II (Concert and/or Symphonic Concert Band).  Practice at home is required and quarterly evening concerts are graded.  Parent request and teacher approval needed.
