This section establishes an integrative framework where bio-mechatronic innovation converges with clinical rehabilitation and human performance enhancement. Its four domains, Monitoring Devices, Prosthesis, Exoskeletons, and Machines, span from astronaut physiological monitoring systems, EMG-transradial prostheses, and bionic hands. Complementary advances in lower-limb exoskeletons and pneumatic knee-support systems extend mobility for elderly and disabled patients, while aerospace-oriented wearable robotics address muscle stimulation in reduced gravity. Finally, mechatronic wheelchairs and anthropomorphic robotic arms for augmenting independence in paraplegic patients.
