About Me

My name is Jordan Hendricks. I just graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Services Management from the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health at Indiana-University Purdue-University Indianapolis. As a professional, I want to be an ambitious and driven leader. I thrive on challenge and constantly set goals for myself, so I have something to strive toward. I want to help create a goal-oriented environment to support empowerment and engagement in the workplace.

Why Health Services Management?

I have known for a long time that I wanted to work in healthcare when I grew up. After deciding on IUPUI, I was researching available majors in healthcare. I was set on working on the patient-care side of healthcare and I decided to become a dental assistant. In my role as a dental assistant, I discovered the numerous flaws in the healthcare system and decided that I wanted to make a difference.

I chose to pursue Health Services Management to have a voice in influencing positive changes in the healthcare setting. I want to positively impact individual lives and industry challenges. I may not always be hands-on with patients, but I will be helping to support or lead the individuals who are. As a future healthcare manager, I know I will be responsible for keeping the dynamic healthcare industry moving smoothly and effectively. This means patients receive better quality and more efficient care, which is my main goal.
