Experience

In my role as a dental assistant I provide patient-centered care through collaboration with my team. I not only enhance the health of patients, but help create smiles that boost patients' confidence and self-esteem. In this position, I have learned that compassion and organization are important skills for healthcare workers to possess.

Volunteering for the Special Olympics of Indiana has allowed me to work with a diverse population of people. By raising money for the organization and participating in Polar Plunge, I have learned that it is important to give my time and efforts to non-profit organizations in my local community.

In this position, I oversaw strategic event planning, including presentation materials and visual presentations used to educate large groups. I also cultivated positive relationships with campus media organizations to support PR objectives. I also planned and executed recruitment events to interview potential new members, to determine whether they were a good fit for the organization. Additionally, I managed a predetermined budget and was able to increase member retention.
