Joo-Wha Hong is the founder of IThey. It is an interdisciplinary young scholar research crew committed to understanding the social implications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), robots, autonomous machines, and the metaverse, mainly from the human-machine interaction perspective.  

IThey aims to:

• Understand the social role of machines with interdisciplinary approaches

• Examine how people perceive and evaluate AI agents

• Develop human-machine communication theories

• Inquire about the influence of the metaverse
