My goal as an educator is to be an energetic facilitator of academic and personal growth. Over the past year of teaching, I have learned many things from my students, but the most important lesson I have learned is that students perform best when they feel comfortable and involved. In order to be a truly transformational educator, I must master four pillars: provide access for students, advocate with students, utilize culturally responsive teaching strategies, and closely analyze academic growth.
