Commonly seen resting on a tree branch overhanging a river during the day or on the ground hunting for prey at night. Mildly venomous and not life threatening but should not be disturbed due to their irritable behaviour.
The famous Philippine (Red Vented) Cockatoo's endemic home is the nearby Rasa Island. Many sightings of this highly endangered species are reported locally. Enjoys seeds, fruits, buds, nectar, etc.
These birds are endemic to the humid forests of Palawan Island in the southern part of the archipelago. They are insectivorous birds that feed on termites, centipedes, mollusks, frogs, seeds, berries, etc.
