Food Forest

A secondary, but important role of Jollity Farm is to provide sustinence to its occupants, without burdening the land or wildlife. A mixed food forest of hundreds of different fruit varieties is being planted alongside native tree species providing a rich environment for insects, birds, mammals and reptiles to thrive , with minimal disturbance. Fruits will be harvested in a non-intrusive manner. Together with the vegetables from a Kitchen Garden, any surplus food produced will be sold locally to Narra residents or visitors with the funds being "ploughed back" into the farm through tree planting and other nature-friendly investments.
