In March 2026, bus operator Kinchbus began putting a fleet of eleven Yutong E12 electric single-decker buses into service, as the third and final phase of an investment programme which began the previous year and saw nearly the entire fleet of the operator replaced with brand-new buses.
These photos were taken on the 7th of May 2026, Kinchbus displayed one of their new Yutong E12s, 3202 (YB75 ORO), in Loughborough's Market Place, just metres away from where other examples of the new E12s were passing by in service.

On a rainy day in late January 2026, bus operator Kinchbus displayed two of their eleven new Yutong E9L electric single-decker buses, 3106 (YH75 RUY) and 3111 (YE75 VBB), in Loughborough's Market Place, ahead of their entry into service the following week.

For this student project, I took photographs of the new facelifted Wright Streetdeck Electroliner electric double-decker buses that entered service in Leicestershire in the spring of 2025. The two final images featured two different examples of the type in service on the service 127 between Leicester and Shepshed, both of which were photographed on Loughborough Road in Rothley, Leicestershire, outside Woodcock Farm.
One of my photographs needed to be edited to make a stationary bus appear to be in motion; for this, I chose my photo of Arriva Midlands' Electroliner 8030 (BG74 DLY). This was probably the most intensive aspect of this project, with the wheels being particularly challenging to apply motion blur to in Adobe Photoshop, but I feel that it makes up for the signs of Woodcock Farm cluttering the scene that I didn't want to attempt to remove.
The bus in the other photograph was Electroliner 8033 (BN74 JZX). On its offside, this bus was at the time carrying an advert that I did not want in my final images; thus, I covered the adverts on both buses with off-white shapes in Adobe Photoshop.

May 2025 saw me attend the bus rally at the Great Central Railway's Quorn & Woodhouse railway station for the first time. The pair of buses in this photo, both with Alexander ALX400 bodies, are two fine examples of the newer low-floor buses that are beginning to enter the scene of bus preservation.
