SUMMARY
Created a theme, branding and 3D venue visualisation for a conference event.
APPROACH
Following a review of the brief and gathering up the brand colours and fonts I put together some gradients ready for applying to some text layouts as I was aware from the clients branding docs that type treatment for headlines and titles often used mutliple colours and gradients.
MID-HI FIDELITY
Working in Figma I laid out the headline copy I had in mind to promote the conference. This headline would be used to promote the events theme.
Initially started with black text I soon moved onto coloured versions and variations exploring looks for the theme of future business plans and direction.
Having looked at framing the headline I moved on to text only with gradients to fit the brand look and feel as part of the event theme ideas.
WIDESCREEN PRESENTATION + BANNERS
Once I had established the look for the headline I began exploring layout and concept ideas for the theme of "future strategy" which would determine the look and feel for the widescreen video/projection display to be used for the presentation.
After some researching images and illustrations to consider some approaches, I came up with the idea of using a silhouette that could be rendered in different colours. I experimented with a few images before settling on one particular image of a female looking slightly upwards which felt like a reference to looking ahead or to the future.
I worked on the image in Photoshop to cut it out and create different colour versions to put together some looks and produced a black, white and multi colour gradient versions to match the brand colours.
From here I began to layout and build some banners for screen and also standing marketing banners as an additional concept to provide branding at the venue.
The banners were used also for the Powerpoint deck as a starting point for the slides.

3D VISUALISATIONS
I chose to visualise and present the designs by creating a 3D custom venue build to show the look and feel in situ at a mock conference event.
The cabaret style with round tables and chairs arranged to use only half the table for best experience of attendees.
I use Blender 3D to design and model and I built out each element in the designs, chairs, tables, notebooks, pens, screens, glasses and more, to give a unique feel for the event.
From the initial matt greyscale renderings I worked up the texturing and materials to create the final colour renders.
Working in 3D allows me to direct the whole setup of this proposed event and style the venue to fit my ideas. The flexibility of a 3D workflow is tremendous as it enables me to go above and beyond providing materials, visuals and animations and videos that can be utilised in marketing and advertising.
SUMMARY
From sketchbook ideas to Figma designs and 3D modelling, texturing, animating and rendering, this project was full on in its scope. The diversity of creative genres and challenges involved involved in this end to end project suits my skill sets, interests and personality.
