Forced Migration

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Forced Migration, which occrred in 2030 and resulted from the financial crisis of 2029, resulted in the relocation of the global population into zones or Regions based on an individual’s annual income. Three Regions were created: Urban Regions, Sub-Urban Regions, and Rural Regions. In addition to the Three Regions, a select number of Areas were created to serve the Three Regions, though since inter-region travel is prohibited for inhabitants of Sub-Urban and Rural Regions, Areas, except in rare instances, generall only serve the needs of Urban Region residents. These Areas include Designated Educational Area, Designated Relaxation Area, and Designated Cultural Development Area.
