Assisted Professor Marilyn Brown with research on the development of Western prison systems in Hawaii as described by Hawaiian language newspapers, by performing keyword searches for specific Hawaiian words for prison in digitized Hawaiian newspapers and compiling the results of these searches and their English translation into a FileMaker database.

Worked with Helen Wong-Smith of the Mookini Library compiling dozens of maps and pictures of Hilo and Mauna Kea from the Hawaii State Archives, Bishop Museum, UH Mānoa, The Lyman House Museum and the Internet for the Kipuka-Native Hawaiian Success Center Hilo Video Projects production. Also compared legends of Maui and Hina throughout Oceania for this same production.
